NS SD70ACe 1197 leads 191, awaiting track authority for departure from Columbia, SC. The crew had just radioed the Dispatcher to report they "were ready for blast off". [01/04/2021]
Seems like I've been stuck in the 90's since I started scanning old pictures. While dredging up old memories, I found this one of HESR (ex P&LE) GP 38-2's 202 and 203 (now 3866 and 3867) on a freight near Carsonville, MI. These were two of the four that replaced the old fleet of GP7's in 1993. Although the RailAmerica livery was attractive and eventually grew on us, local railfans really loved the Pere Marquette heritage scheme that Huron and Eastern power wore prior to that.
A couple more boxcars, SP and Cotton Belt too: Just inching into the frame on the left, yellow CPR caboose. Ste-Therese depot, late 70s. Photo by my Dad, Roger.

I have lost track of who owns which short line in Michigan. G&W has bought some. Which are still independent, if any still operating?
1003 has just departed from the Sound Transit Tacoma Dome station, heading down to the convention center terminal:
Weather was dreary Saturday morning 01/16/21 but I did catch one northbound on the CSX at Emerson GA. First railfan shot of 2021.
From the edge of a cut above Canyon Siding in the foreground a BNSF heads down Sullivan's Curve toward San Berdo on 1.17.2021 just before 10am. Except for the wind it was a very comfortable t-shirt kind of day.
