When was Gavin Yard converted to a flat yard and the hump removed?

If, I say IF, my memory is correct, it was well after the BN merger. But I cannot recall more....

Cannot imagine it was before BN, as GN touted Gavin as a state of the art facility intended to classify all of the railroad's traffic. It was located strategically on the system for that reason. It was before 2000, as I used to railfan at the yard a lot back then, before it was frowned upon.

If I had to guess, during the mid-1980s' self-destruction, after they merged the Frisco.
