Mention A Members Name In a Post

    What's the correct way to mention a member in a post. Is it placing the @ symbol before the members name as in @okane or @BoxcabE50, or is there another means to do it, so the @ symbol is not displayed before the members' name?:D

    Just use the "@", there is no easy way to do it otherwise. You could get a link to the member's profile page, then embed the link under their name, but that will not notify them that they were mentioned, which is what happens with the @ symbol.

    I'm genuinely a bit confused here. What features are enabled using ' @ ' as a prefix to someone's member name? I normally just type their member name. Thanks.

    If I just type hardcoaler, it is simply a word in the sentence
    If I type @Hardcoaler , it becomes a link to your profile, and notifies the member that they were mentioned
