Good morning from cloudy and cold Northeast Ohio, expecting freezing rain and then heavy rain later today.

Finished a couple of cars during the week.

Proto 2000 52'6" Gon kit which appoximates the B&LE gons in the 15000 car series class. Painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red #3 and lettered with Champ Decals. General Service Gondola for the B&LE for steel products of the USS Steel plants in the Pittsburgh area.

Athearn GP40-2's with a general freight, although the first cars are all from the Campbell Soup factory out of Napoleon, OH. Picture take at the Wharf Area of the Strongsville, OH Club Layout.

For some reason, one of the features of a larger Santa Fe steamer which always grabs my attention is their big, boxy tenders. (y):D

From about 1975 as seen on a branchline on my old N Scale railroad. The locomotive was a Fleischmann Model 7969, which was equipped with two motor-driven track cleaning disks underneath. It was a great runner that pulled well and never stalled. The overhead was merely rubber thread and track was Arnold Rapido. Station was Atlas Item 2850 / Pola 000200.

That's a beautiful model Joe.(y) The Frisco's Es were so classy. Say, be sure to post this again on 01/01/2022, as your engine number will then match the year. :)

I have 7 N scale Frisco E8's, two are being changed to E7 for the Texas Special locomotives with fluting on the sides.

I'll try to remember posting next year.

I posted this one before, but while we're on the subject of E units, here's my 2 cents worth.

For a PM fan there's not much that could make this scene better, except maybe a BL2 or a class C consolidation sitting on the spur.

While I'm a diehard Pere Marqette fan steeped in enchantment blue and venetian yellow, I have to admit that western roads like the Katy and Frisco used some really attractive liveries. Yes, I would describe their colors as vibrant much like Santa Fe's red warbonnet.

The D&RGW bought three GP60s. They were wreck replacements. The merger with SP was imenent, when these units, 3154, 3155 and 3156 arrived on property. They were the last new units painted in the black and gold Rio Grande image. Even the engineer's and conductor's sheets were embossed with SSW.

This weekend looks like I will not have time for a run by. However, I do have some photos.

This is my B&O passenger power.

The next two are very special. They are of the Christmas gift my son surprised me with; Broadway Limited PRR T-1.

Since I can only run the T-1 on the straightaways this gives me the extra motivation to get moving on the layout redo and install those 22 and 24 inch curves.
