Good morning, good afternoon, where ever you may be. Welcome back to the gateway to the weekend. We had a busy weekend last week, let's see if we can continue that trend.

Saturday: Technically my weekend will start at noon today as I worked Sunday and will be working a bit tomorrow night as well. Today is the last chance I think I'll get to make the drive and put the Mustang up for winter storage. It's supposed to be in the high 60's and then cold after that. Onto Saturday and the weather turns foul, but it maybe warm enough to work in the garage. I need to finish the second shadowbox for the N scale layout and install the hardboard fascia to my HO layout. I would love to get that fascia installed so I can mud it and the layout top then sand everything smooth before bringing it back in.

Sunday: If I can get the above mentioned done on the HO layout, I hope to bring it and the shadowbox into the train room. The second shadowbox will have to stay unfinished until spring when it will be warm enough again to paint. On the HO layout however, I plan to paint the top surface with earth tone acrylics and maybe start track work.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know! We'll assemble again on Monday the 23rd to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

More work on the modules. I have a few feeders left to attach to the power bus. The. It’s tome to finish the fascia. Sand the areas smooth where I added joint compound then paint them. Then it’s time to start working on the top scenery wise. I need to paint the foam and prep for ballast and structures. However my knee is lacked up so we will see if the pain allows for any modeling.

Yesterday began moving the outdoor furniture inside. I brought the two glass top tables in and put them into the attic. I then brought in all the potted plants we save each year and put them on the tables near an attic window. Have to put the plants in the attic which is not heated but insulated to keep them away from the cats who are not allowed in the attic.

If the weather holds tomorrow it will be rearranging the garage and putting the rest of the outdoor furniture into it for winter storage. I need to take the canopy cover off the gazebo and remove the center light fixture. Sunday will probably be recovery day.

I still have not weathered any of the hoppers. I hope to do them this weekend.

Well - this may be another weekend where I do not get any modeling done.

Saturday: Purchase and install a kitchen sink faucet. Then relook at our upstairs thermostat.

Sunday: Work on my Wife's trunk.

    Y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

With all the parts for the concrete trestle painted and the sub roadbed far enough along, my modeling plans for this weekend include assembling and installing this trestle. This will be done on the bench then taken to the layout. I may also start to work on the painted backdrop scenery of the window insert to blend it in better with the photo backdrop.

Everyone enjoy the weekend whatever you are doing.

Saturday AM will be busy with work responsibilities but after that I'd like to wrap up the firmware for this device:
    pcb.png
It is an OpenLCB (LCC) connected 18 IO (14 configured as input/output, four fixed as input only) board with an esp32 module plugged into it. This will complement the ESP32 CS as it can be used for general IO needs (signals, detectors, etc) and can also act as a bridge from WiFi to OpenLCB (LCC) for devices like the TCS UWT-100. I'm expecting these to arrive sometime next week (maybe the weekend).

Sunday will be testing of a few components that go on the ESP32 CS and ESP32S2IO (32 IO variant of above).

Not a big weekend for train stuff. Will try to identify the derail and uncouple spots, maybe do some shimming if I have time.
