Good morning from mostly sunny and cool Northeast Ohio!

I managed to finish a couple of cars this week:

Atlas (Ex-Branchline) 1944 AAR Boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II Oxide Red and lettered with Champ and other decals (Repack Data). After the war the railroads replaced their worn out cars with new improved cars. This was a 1959 Lot of 40' cars used in general service.

Athearn ACF 4600CF Covered Hopper Kit, painted with Scalecoat II MOW Gray paint and lettered with Herald King Decals. This car #10399 was the guniea pig for new paint schemes on this class of cars, it was first painted gray with black lettering, then brown with white lettering (then 2 other cars were in this scheme that we know of), and in 1979 when the compass herald was going to be dropped the DT&I painted one car in each class with the Star Herald, the only class of cars that received the herald were the 50' FGE RBL's with the offset doors that were in Campbells Soup service. The herald was a scothcal and were very expensive so not all cars received this herald.

Awhile back I received a pair of Rapido FP9's and have been accumulating enough CP passenger cars to run a small passenger train. Here it is on the Strongsville club layout.

    Thanks for looking!

The sheep herd seemed to have gotten used to the many passing trains but do know to stay off the tracks.

This week I finally built the Bowser PRSL caboose that has been on the bench for a few weeks. Now with a caboose I used a recently acquired and built PRSL AS-16

Your weathering is always insane, when I saw those cars, I figured they had to be some kind of resin kit. Sometimes I doubt the potential of an Accurail car, but I think it is the layout lighting that gets me too. Everything just looks so crisp. Too easily those kits are dismissed as 'basic' models, but all your models look extremely realistic.

    Howdy,
I'm still building my double track helix. Look here . The track is prepared with track camber.

Nice looking train! Maroon and grey is always the best for CP. Just need a Stoney Creek bridge to go under it :)

A lovely creation. It's similar to the Tunkhannock Viaduct built by the Lackawanna in 1912-15. SMR's creation has 19 piers, whereas the Tunkhannock has only 13. However the Tunkhannock remains the longest reinforced concrete arch railroad bridge in the world at 2,375 feet still in operation.
