We, Ben and I, resurrected a basket case for the Museum's soft opening last Saturday. We were donated the front window layout of a LHS after the owner passed away and it was sold to someone that didn't like trains. He turned it into a vape shop. Last November we had five piles on the floor. The layout had been removed by someone who knew how to operate a Saws-All. Long story short....last Saturday all three levels were operating. OK, we both were running around rerailing pilot trucks, giving nudges to recalcitrant engines, etc. But Hey, it was operating!! For y'all who may have seen Joe Chisesi's layout in his Gulfport, MS LHS 1975-2000+, Please come by and say Hi.
Please c'mon by if you're in the area. Ben and I are generally there Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9-1(ish). (Pound on the door) Also we're open to the public the third Saturday of every month from 12-4. Y'all Come, Yah Heah!
