Next state north of there, looking out the back door on the Mt. Hood Railroad. I think it is in the middle of a cherry orchard. Mt. Hood is hiding in the clouds on the left.
I knew I had a picture of one of these cars and looking through my photos, I found that several of these cars had shown up in Marlette wearing their history over the years. This is the one I liked best.
I am finally starting to scan my photos. These are from August of 1985. They are the last 4 running former PRR Pioneer III MU’s. SEPTA was running them as the Crum Lynne Local. I got to ride them many times on my way home from work to Crum Lynne. This particular day I had my camera with me. I could not get a shot of them after I got off. I had to wait until they traveled to Baldwin Interlock and change tracks. I caught them deadheading back to Philadelphia.
Dom, they are, at least carbodies. They have been rebuilt, though. 2925 was GN 3018, built 1964, rebuilt 1989. 2637 is more difficult to trace. It was ATSF 1428, built 1965, rebuilt 1984. It may have been rebuilt again, but I'm not sure.
