Otto, the RH in that photo was going to be another wood framed 130' ATSF roundhouse. But after the unplanned move, the layout got the "sawzall" destruction. After starting with a piece of the former layout, a pile of information started arriving on the ATSF concrete roundhouses, and you know the rest of the story. BTW, the front celestory window section is underway with, of course, one part headed to Superturbine for "further duplication.
Well hold on let me give you Robert address.....;-) I am sorry to say that right now I am only doing castings. The plate is pretty full, but I think there are some exciting things in the works. Snyone who wants castings email me at. Superturbine@hotmail.com
Hey Otto, Been thinking about this more and was wondering what your (or anyone else) thoughts might be on using a Bachmann Class J mech with an extra set of drivers spliced on? I think they're supposed to be about 70" so would be a little smaller than the ones on the Northern, but at least close to the Texas.
I know this is an old thread. I’ve been on the lookout for a hallmark 4-8-4 and/or 2-10-4 I came across this thread and have heard of the custom super turbine boilers and can be made to fit on a Kato GS-4. can someone here who has seen both of them comment in which is actually a more accurate representation? for that matter, Key imports also makes a 4-8-4 atsf northern. Any thoughts on that one compared either the super turbine customs or the hallmark? spookshow gave a pretty shoddy review on the key imports one as far as running performance but not sure if what the consensus is on the accuracy of the boilers/shells themselves. love to hear your input.
