Lots of good projects going on out there ! I am building a circuit to switch a single turnout motor with push buttons. Next will be a yard ladder control for 3 pairs of turnout motors. This all part of a staging yard rebuild on my home layout.
Well let’s see.... take your pick lol Actually, what’s getting worked on is all SP power right now. A DD35B, Tunnel motor, and two SD45’s.
Hey !!! That looks like my workbench at the moment. I do plan on going out a doing a few small projects today ...and cleaning up the workbench..again ! LOL
Almost done with the SD60M. I've added an ESU loksound decoder, ditch lights, grabs and cut levers. Debating whether or not to add my own MU hoses as I've had about enough with this engine and all the work I've put into it so far
My workbench has not changed much for some time, but I am working more diligently at building better turnouts. So tools, rail, filing jigs, etc.......
Ummm... is this one of those "Where's Waldo ???" things ??? Mine looks quite similar, but not as active right now. Is that an Alco C415 above the sticker, right of the lamp base ???
Another non train workbench update... getting closer to being open for trains again... got the wheels to the trail 90 laced last night. I’m almost done with this bike, I can’t wait to get to ride it. Rear wheel Front wheel
Some more loco detail jobs. Both of these are Kato's. For the ladder grabs and cut levers I use are the BLMA/Atlas ones (18" and 15") to speed up the process but all the other grabs I have to make my own using .008" wire. I found these old detail kits on ebay for adding the mirrors and shades and using those too to complete the cabs. For the most part it is pretty easy going but on the C44-9W (BNSF) those hood grabs were a bit of a challenge with 5 angles that one has to get perfect for the result to not look like trash. Only have two more of those type to do lol.
I got two trainworx UPS trucks that where all apart. hoods off, mirrors off or bent wheels off. but all the parts are there. I put one UPS truck back together and it looks great. and put a T800 light blue day cab on the other UPS truck frame. and it looks great now. these are more trucks for my truck stop module.
Ok so I got 2 things done today... the first thing was my Trail 90’s engine got vapor blasted and it turned out great. The next thing was I got the wiring harness for my station T-trak module finished. Yes I know they are upside down but that’s to show all the wiring work.
Only worth more to certain people...LOL.... I'm a runner not a collector so nothing stays clean long unless it is fresh from the paintshop.
