Has been an extremely busy and distracted couple of months lately, and a dearth of train videoing, photographing. Oh sure, I see trains, but not usually in time to picture or video, and hearing them is always in the background. I have managed to get a few videos, 4, in the last month. And some pics, here's a strange paint job on a -9, And around mid Oct, we had snow! All gone now, but pumpkins in the snow patch are pretty! And of course, a coal train or two...
Good catch on 1050. It is the only C44-9W to be painted in that H1/H2 mashup paint scheme. Athearn is making this unit in their new Genesis 2.0 Dash 9 release.

While I normally get mad about taggers on rail equipment, that is pretty funny!! Micro Trains actually makes most of they're "weathered" cars from actual photographs, so this would be easy for them!
It is humorous, even though many thousands of dollars in the painting of that car were destroyed with the vandalism process.....
I don't much like the "art" but sometimes it is either very funny, like this one, or some of it is even pretty nicely done and very creative. Now if they could only find legitimate outlets and make a living at it.......
Spent Thanksgiving weekend, all of it after Thursday fun times with kids and grandkids, doing preparation work for moving the Trainshed over to my new place, finally. But, Friday morning I saw this while heading across town, And Saturday, I got "stuck" for a bit at this crossing. It was horrible!
Nice catch on 6022 "Stickers". I have yet to see one. I haven't made a ton of effort to go trackside on the main recently, though, spending time on CP and the Northgate Branch instead. That reminds me.. the "Peace Garden State" thread needs an update....
