Welcome everyone to that gateway to the weekend. I hope you all had a great week. Now it's time to tell everyone what you have planned for the weekend.

Saturday: The jury is still out as to what day I plan to go to my "not so local hobby shop". I would like to do it today (Friday) but work is going to be busy with the 3:30 Facebook live announcements for Athearn. Ideally I will go tonight after work and be picking up my Micro Engineering order of HO code 70 flex, two more #6 turnouts, N scale code 55 flex and some tools. Saturday, however I have a bunch of Automotive issues I need to work on including trouble shooting Angela's 2014 Journey as to why it won't start, change the oil in Jess, repair the hitch on my enclosed utility trailer then if time permits, clean up the Mustang, Jeep and now running Journey. After that, Angela's dad is joining us for the last car cruise of the year with his 1995 Cobra SVT.

Sunday: I hope to learn how to use my equipment for the youtube channel I'm working on. If I do, I can start my HO project layout for work. It is two of the 18X48 inch modules I kitted up last week and will be a slightly longer (8-foot) version of Lance Mindheim's Palmetto Spur. This layout will be generic and a kind of "Anytown USA or even Canada" and will be used for work. Meanwhile, the track is all removed from the N scale modules and should be ready for the Micro Engineering track. I think I have a prototype picked out. Should be a busy day.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know, on this last weekend of September. We'll assemble again on Monday the 28th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, please be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

Both days -- work on my 2-10-2 project. And - finish my REA van project.

Perhaps start on another Model T truck for my friend. (1:48th scale) - cool stuff

    Y'all have a great weekend

Well, since I got all my electrical and track buttoned up on my Coal Dock module, I guess it's time I started working on the Coal Dock itself!
This is the prototype I have to selectively compress to fit in the space:

Friday is consumed with working late as I have to make up for ducking out later for a doctors appointment about my knee.

Saturday is another trip to Chattanooga to do some packing.

Sunday will hopefully be quiet and I can do some work on the scenic divide, roads for the chemical plant, and placement of the grain elevator.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good morning everyone and thank you Jim for getting this started today.

With new cork now all in place and with the yard ladder assembled, my goal over the weekend will be to get this end of the yard track work finished. Then see how far I get dropping feeders and setting up the Tortoise motors on these. I am also still working on the new control panel and control circuits. I just put up a post on my blog about the new control panel. http://palisadecanyonrr.blogspot.com/2020/09/updated-control-panel.html

I managed to get five pieces of rolling stock off the RIP area of the workbench this week, so I guess I'll have to tackle some structure lighting I have half done . . .

Finding some stirrups and grab irons I have somehow mislaid. Hmmm. Perhaps if I try reverse psychology and look for something else, these will magically re-appear?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'll be in the attic w/ the layout and in the workshop some I'll find out what I'm doing Monday AM. Right now, I have nothing specific in mind.

    Have a great weekend!

My wife and I’s 29th wedding anniversary is Monday so we are contemplating doing something over the weekend. We would both like to go to the shore for the day but now the weather may not be good. In addition, we like to go to Ocean City, MD but this weekend is the infamous H2O car event. It is nothing but trouble. Not knowing about it last year we were going to spend a long weekend in town. It was downright scary. You could not go anywhere due to the traffic. I felt like a riot was going to break out at any moment. We left the first night and went to Chincoteague, VA. The event is unsanctioned, the sponsored pulled out three years ago due to the problems. The city has been trying to stop the event since.

Our backup plan would be Rehoboth Beach, DE. We could try OCMD on Monday since my wife is off.

The shore trip will determine what gets done this weekend. I have a gondola I need to reattach a stirrup and fix the coupler pocket on the workbench. I have eight boxcars ready for weathering. I could also just take photos for inventorying.

I have a gentleman and his son coming over Saturday. Wants to learn how ops sessions work. Never had an oops session my self so I’m playing this one by ear. They have never used DCC either so I am thinking it will be teaching how to use that then let them run trains to get used to the layout them I will pull out the waybills and go from there.

I am still cleaning up from last weekend. I need to put some stuff away and then get back to modeling. I am current working on designs for a set of new N scale free-moN modules. This will be a set of 8 to make a return loop. Hope to buy lumber next week and get started before it turns cold. I’m thinking each module will have a 3 foot outside edge with a 2’8 3/4” inside edge with each have a 12” depth. Should be able to get a main line and siding on this. Also makes for easy storage and haulage too.

Work is all messed up now and shifts are a changing. I will now be on a two week schedule. One week o will have lots of time of with the second week with lots of time in a hotel. Putting together a tool bag for the hotel so I can do modeling there.
