Just picked this up off eBay... did not ask enough questions...It does have sound but you can barely hear it.
Any ideas... LEO62FX Digital Plus decoder by Lenz.... It may be a blown speaker.... Any advice or anecdotes are welcome... thanks in advance

I don't think Lenz makes any sound decoders for N scale either...could be wrong however

Great.... my guess is I will find an MRC product when I pop the top..... but seller did say dcc and sound... just not that it was crappy sound. Lesson learned the hard way...

If it has a Lenz decoder, you will not find an MRC DCC sound decoder in there. Both are crap. Rip them out and properly install an ESU LokSound Select Direct Micro DCC sound decoder.

I'm not aware of any Lenz sound decoders either but, be that as it may, is the speaker in any type of enclosure? Do you have pics you can post?

Yep, a picture will stop all of us from guessing, and may also help point you to an easy solution if one exists

While you're at it, take pictures of both sides of the decoder. :)

What type of device to you post here with?

If a regular PC or laptop you would need to take the photos then move them on to the computer somehow. The somehow is not because I dont know how but because there are many ways of doing this part.

If it is a phone or tablet then life gets much easier. Snap the photo, it will go into where ever the device holds photos.

Now for the website portion of this lesson. Its really easy basically the same for each device at this point. In the block below where you are typing you will see buttons that say "Post Reply" "Upload a File" and "More Options"

Click or tap "Upload a File"

Then a little pop-up will have a button that says Browse. Click/Tap that, find the image and it will upload it. The window will disappear and you will see your image below the text box with the options of Thumbnail or Full Size, choose which one you want and it will move it to the text box. You can add more pics or add text as needed. Hope this helps.
