I would appreciate the benefit of anyone's experience using the Paasche Model H airbrush to spray Vallejo acrylic paints. Please post what you have learned using that combo. I used the airbrush successfully with Scalecoat II many years ago. Now I would like to experiment with VA model air paints. If you have advice on choice of needle, air pressure, thinning or whatever please share your opinion.
I'm no expert here, But I use model air paints and shoot at around 20 PSI . I'm happy with the end result ......Mike
I use an Aztek, but with any airbrush, I always start with air pressure set to 30psi, needle almost all the way closed, and paint thinned to the consistency of water. I like to test spray on a piece of cardboard, opening the needle until just the lightest mist of paint is getting through, and I get the best results when the paint is almost going on dry. If I can get the brush adjusted to this criteria on the cardboard without and spatter, I start on my models, if any spatter shows, I have to thin the paint some more. That said, I don't have experience with Vallejo, but here is a video I stumbled upon when looking up their paints:
