Looking through the fence on the grounds of the Visitor Information Center/Hearne Depot Museum at a train entering town on the DALSA. Disgusting amount of trash folks pitch out of their cars while they wait at the crossing out of view on the right for trains coming down from Palestine, TX on the old MoPac line.
If an engineer is lost, I assume he/she is allowed to take the train to the Visitors Center and ask for directions.
Well, for a small town, if a train is coming in on any one of five lines, they have four ways to leave town excluding the tracks they just came in on. An old model railroading buddy, who grew up in Hearne, moved back to his home town after he retired. He now runs the Information Center/Depot Museum. He would get them on the right track for sure.
Great Falls, MT, 2009: Somewhere northwest of Great Falls, MT, also in 2009. The nearest D&RGW tracks were at least 800 miles from here!
You have a choice in selecting your personal protective equipment. Army "jeeps" at Fort Hood, Texas. June 21,2012.
