I just posted these on another thread but this post will be the start of my build project so here they are again : This will take some time, to do well, so I'll post progress as it happens. Thanks for looking, stay well, Carl
Looks like John has made another beautiful model... and another happy customer! Cant wait to see how the build goes.
Hang on gang, the ride has begun..................... Here are some step by step images continuing from the above posting. Off of supports To this....................... On my way to this or at least a reasonable variation.............. I'll have to create/make the decals. This may be great fun but worth the effort. Did I ever mention I like trucks. Stay well, Carl
Greetings, here is an update shot to show the decals that I made for this project. This tank is the one that gets set on the tractor so I need to decal it before trying to "handle" the tractor. I can see that I need to re-set the small decals along the trough rail. That's what is good about pictures to show flaws......................... Thanks for looking and as always ALL criticism IS welcome. Stay well, Carl
Hemi, thanks for the nice comment but as I knew I would, I just had to re-do those small decals. Here is the tank from the other side that shows the end of tank as well as the placard on the head end. I have already sealed these decals with clear coat so no changes now. I printed these decals on clear paper so I should have painted the placard holders face with white so it would hi-light the UN1203. Oh well, live and learn. Keep in mind this kit is 3D printed....................... This tank is now ready to be mounted to the tractor when it is completed. I am now starting to decal the pup trailer and then I will add ladders to both tanks plus a tool box and fire extinguisher on the bogey tongue. Just a little progress, slow but sure. Stay well, Carl
Thanks for all of the kind comments, my friends. I have completed this build and submit the following images, I hope for your enjoyment.. Keep in mind this is N scale 3D printed by Royale Models. Nice kit! I also had to search for and then make the decals. Not the best but I am pleased. I discovered that my old hands and fingers cramped real bad on me while trying to carefully handle these items. May have to give up on small detail work. Yeah sure! Stay smart and well! Carl
