4 Atlas locomotives. 1 Rio Grande GP30, unnumbered. 3 Rio Grande GP40, unnumbered. Most recent, 2 Rio Grande dinner menus. 50th Anniversary of Moffat Tunnel. Dinner on the Silver Banquet, Feb 25/26 1978. For those lucky enough to ride the train at the time!
A 3 pack of athearn 30,000 gal ethanol tank cars, fox valley wheelsets, and a TCS decoder for my FVM GP60M
I woke up this morning, damn, had to drive 40 miles to get meds, so I figured I would just drive the next 23 miles to Reeds Trains. I got this wild hair, I want to build a signal bridge. I have no layout, no track put down, no track plan yet, but I want to build a nice signal bridge. So I need supplies and all that good stuff. As I drove 63 miles to get there, I figured I would spend a bit. I got the etched brass ladders, box car detail's for the walkways, handful of polystyrene, angle, I bean, channel, rod, strip, tube, sheet, the last (3) turn outs, (2) cans of spray paint, scale ruler, re-railer, new track cutters. Now to get some pics and draw plans. Buzz.
A new Atlas 4-4-0 just arrived and is waiting for front coupler and an oil bunk plus other minor upgrades. Also another DD-51 loco to replace the one with missing parts that one of the felines stole. The one with missing parts I made into a B unit. And hopefully the last catenary poles I will need. Waiting to be painted. 100_0341-1 by John Moore posted Jul 18, 2020 at 6:35 PM
Like the Venus car. My pusher... ummm, I mean e-tailer is behind on this car in and shipped out. Hope to see it soon.
I received an N scale Difco side dump car from Shapeways. Looks pretty good compared to an Atlas model. Also much more affordable then Atlas. I'm looking to do a fleet of them so saving some money would be a good thing. I'd post a picture but my crummy camera won't do it justice.
Very happy with my cheap N Scale vehicles and also the road tape so far. My niece is gonna love it when she see's it. 41 cars ( got an extra one ) and the road tape for $12.99.
I got a similar deal on the same cars from ebay for about $10 for 50 cars. There are not much in variety, I think 2 different bodies and a couple different colors, red, white, silver, silver/blue, gold, and black. To me they look slightly too small but they do the job, and for the price you cant go wrong.
I did not think I was allowed to say cause of the advertisement rules? But the company name is the same as a very popular rain forest If allowed I'll post the link? Cause there are a few to choose from and I wanted the road tape also to see if I like it. I do so far, doing some quick testing. I'll post some pictures in the N Scale area soon, showing it off, and my testing pictures. And FREE delivery, if you are a member. Another hint
I have seen other purchases from here and also Ebay so I am going to give you the link to the ones I bought. I don't think I will get in trouble? Amazon, and here they are. Sound like a game show This is what I bought and in stock. https://www.amazon.com/Gauge-Plasti...ywords=n+scale+vehicles&qid=1595454558&sr=8-2 And here is a few of them. Search is you friend there. I am also going to get some figures/people. They aren't perfect but cheap. And my layout is called the C & L, standing for Cheap Layout. Although no layout is really that cheap. And more choices: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=n+scale+vehicles&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 If I did wrong, sorry admin's and mod's
Hmmm...looks like they have buses too! Even boats in 1:160 but those are not Prime shipping so it could take a while.
I've been on a bit of a buying binge as of late mostly picking up rolling stock but did get a few things for my next layout including the Chiquita banana lighted billboard from miller engineering... that thing is awesome! Anyways I have some pics of the rolling stock: 8 intermodal cars with JTC containers to fill them: First 3 cars are the JTC 53' 9 post well cars. Very nicely detailed but... the grab handles were all smooshed from the packaging process so I had to spend some time straightening them out. Despite that well worth the $$ and glad I got them while still in stock. Next up is this deluxe innovations 3 car unit that I found on the fleabay. Finally is two of the Atlas 40' rebuilt well cars. Very nicely detailed and every bit as good as the premium lines out there. Nicer yet is the king pin receivers for mounting up to 48' trailers if one desires. I've already got 4 of these but I had some 40' containers needing a home so my OCD kicked in and I added these to my collection. Also the loads in the flat racks are new too.
