With time on my paws, I have tackled several layout projects. The first one (completed a couple of weeks ago) was adding this to the layout:

Beautiful! I've got an Ntrak module built around a mid-20th century version of Willoughby. I'll post a photo (when I get around to it). Rick

Very nice work there! I need some N-scale dumpsters and trash cans... know a source?

Thanks! These particular dumpsters were scratchbuilt. That said, there are some available as mentioned above.

Here's another shelter-in-place project. I finally installed a new grade crossing using a scratchbuilt cantilever signal that I built a few years ago and some modified NJI gated signals. I have since fixed the ladder on the cantilever and adjusted the gates to move slower and not be so jumpy. Plus, they now go a little more vertical in the up position now...

Crossing is operated by 2 Logic Rail Grade Crossing Pro's and a Circuitron Tortoise machine.

When I grow up, I hope to acquire the skills to do something like that. Really nice work.

All this talk about Willoughby, and as much as I recognized the area, not too far from where I grew up in NE Ohio, I assumed you all were talking about California or something. At any rate, I'm sure the DQ is popular not only with the locals, but for railroaders going for beans!

Actually... no. Try googling The Twilight Zone episode "A Stop At Willoughby' :sneaky:

Mine too. “Willoughby? Maybe it’s wishful thinking nestled in a hidden part of a man’s mind. Or maybe it’s the last step in a vast design of things. Or perhaps, for a man like Mr. Gart Williams who climbed on a world that went by too fast, it’s a place around the bend where he could jump off. Willoughby? Whatever it is, it comes with sunlight and serenity and it’s part of the Twilight Zone.”

My only COVID train projects were a DL109 painted for Penn Central and assembly of 14 Red Caboose coil cars. The price tags on these cars are dated 2005 !!! Had plans for more stuff, but got called back to work. Suddenly WeatherTech floor mats became "essential" and I'm working 60 hour weeks 'til Jan or Feb !!!
