Hi all was wondering if anyone has information on the Delaware and Hudson from the mid 1950's to the 1991 merger with Canadian Pacific am looking for maps, employee timetables and any other operationally related paperwork specific to the Binghamton NY area that may be available to be purchased thanks in advance for your assistance
A few papers to view (NFS) on this page. Scroll down.... https://train-orders.com/TOUR.html A few pieces (FS) here: https://train-orders.com/SALE/D/DHR1.html We had a member who was a very active D&H person. But he sort of faded away, a few years ago.
There are some good books on the D&H. Jim Shaughnessy's hardcover Delaware & Hudson is a must-have history for D&H fan libraries and Karl Zimmerman's softcover Decade of The D&H provides a more contemporary look that may be more in keeping with what you seek. Both of these are black and white. Morning Sun Books has a bunch of all color D&H books worth a look. They're organized by years and topics, so would allow you to hone in on what you most want to see. Finding operational information specific to Binghamton might be more difficult. For that you might want to look up the D&H Historical Society [ https://bridge-line.org/ ]. I applaud your post. A number of railfans and modelers assume that the Internet contains all there is to be found, yet books remain a broad and valuable resource for photos and detailed information.
Hardcoaler; thanks for the reply and I have several books and DVDs on the D&H including Jim Shaughnessy's and I'm always looking when I go to train shows for any books and things I don't already have in my collection
