    Hi, All
I hope everybody is well. I have a question about installing these billboards. Has anybody actually done it? They seem to be OK for background or partial buildings, but I can't see how you would install them in a complete build. I don't see many photos of other buildings with them. Any tips? Living in Boston I want to add the Citgo sign to at least one of buildings. Thanks. Happy Fourth. Jim

I installed a Budweiser sign on the roof of a Rokuhan corner building. I built the kit according to the directions. I mounted the pc board under the layout. I cut a hole in the roof large enough for the connector and cable to go through. Once everything was installed and tested I trimmed 2 pieces of index card to fit snugly against the cable. I painted the roof and index card covers black to keep light from coming through the roof. I have also lit all of my Rokuhan city buildings wit the Woodland Scenic just plug system. I can post a picture once I get home.

Thanks, Thom. That'd be great. Some of my buildings have individual floors so getting them into an all ready built kit is a problem. It looks like some pre-planning is in order. Thanks, Jim

I installed that I-beam brace at the top because it's on a module and has been damaged.

Thanks, Thom. I get the idea. Those buildings look nice. Those are all Rokuhan? I haven't built any yet. How are you corralling all of the WS lights? How in the heck is someone supposed to install these lights on an etched metal kit? Dremel tool the roof, I guess. Seems like a lot of work with the potential for mistakes. I will think ahead before I build my next installment. Thanks, again. Happy Fourth. Jim

You're welcome, Jim. I'm using the complete WS Just Plug system. I installed WS diffuser film in each of the buildings. There's only one led in each building, except the building with the rooftop sign which has two. I have, I think, 5 hubs and one splitter. The brightness of each led can be adjusted at the hub. The splitter is used for two factory buildings. I didn't want to buy another hub for one more led. All of the electronics are mounted under the module and the wire for the led comes through the module through a hole in the base of the building.

Thanks, Thom. I have been using the WS lights since they came out. In fact I have 2 of the first ones which came with a short, rigid connector. I completed a build that has 14 separate lights. It uses 3 hubs and an expansion hub. I have had some smaller, 12x6, TTZ-type modules made (Thank You, Robert Ray!) I have mounted all of the components onto a piece of foamcore which slides into the module. Each hub is controlled by a WS toggle. These are mounted under the module. One is a main. The other 3 control separate zones. I will flush mount the power input on the side of the module so in operation I will only have to plug the wall wart in and control the 12x6 module by the toggles. The dimmers have all been pre-set and will not need to be tweaked. I have four such projects that will be getting this treatment. I hope to learn the Robert Ray method of light consolidation. . The WS system is cumbersome for large projects but for buildings with only 1 LED and the use of the diffusing film you can get some good effects, such as you have done. Are your sidewalks styrene? I like the yellow accent. I have two of Rslaser's Grove kits. One will be getting a Citgo sign It would look good on my factory build but that ship has sailed. Maybe the next one. Take care. Jim
