May 22, 2017...That's all I know, I cannot for the life of me remember where this is.
Looking at my non-railroad pictures from the 21st and 23rd tells me it must be somewhere nearish to home in Northern California, but I have no idea beyond that.

    Lodi maybe?

From June 1982, D&H caboose 35708 in service at Taylor, PA. This series was created during WW-II, adding steel underframes and ends to ancient wooden boxcars. A stencil on the side reads BLT 10-42.

I couldn't go much more than a couple of weeks without without a Berkshire fix, so this week's photo is from the same 1225 trip as the watering photo from a few weeks ago. This one was shot on the way home from Grayling rolling through a swampy area on ex MC/NYC trackage near St. Helen's, MI. Daylight was growing short as I caught the big berk lighted by the sinking sun.

An empty grain train heading north on the Galveston Subdivision in Wallis, Texas this last Tuesday. It was in the hole while waiting on a south bound.
