Welcome back everyone. For the first time in years, I'm posting this from my humble work shop and not in a hotel from Galesburg. Alas, Galesburg RR Days has been cancelled and may not return. Life comes at you fast and the only constant is change. Between working so many hours and doing "honey do's" I haven't had much time to order the book I want for the layout, let alone work on the layout. Hopefully by winter I can work on the layout again.Onward! We have had a few good threads of late and it's good to see everyone busy working on their RR projects so let's dive in.

    Saturday: Work.

Sunday: No trains today either. Going to go see Jared for his 21st birthday in Jacksonville.

So how about you? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 29th to see how you all did. Until then, be healthy and safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Well - I learned last night, that we will have our Granddaughter for the weekend. So, my modeling is up in the air - and, that's OK.

So - a report on Monday.

Y'all stay and healthy - have a fantastic weekend,
    Wolf

Just returned from a 2 1/2 week business trip late last night and have a 3 day weekend. Today will mainly be laundry and getting caught up on honey do's.

Saturday and Sunday should include plenty of layout time. Have some fencing to do around the cement plant and one last section to do by the propane dealer. More work on the scenic divide, and a little scenery work here and there. Maybe wire some interior building lights, and if possible, start to paint the fascia.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

I just now finished priming 18 models. I hope to put down the color coats tomorrow or maybe Sunday. Then I'll put on decals during the week.
Looking forward to receiving a light box so I can take better pictures to share with you all.
Trying out a new (to me) shrimp and pasta recipe.

    Have fun this weekend.

Miscellaneous stuff. Mostly air-brushing. I have several projects that require prepainted parts. Mostly associated with the train station scene. Also I have been repairing several freight cars that have been sitting in the "bad order" box. A few need some paint touch up, etc. If I can get done tomorrow with air-brushing stuff, Sunday I can knock out some scenery.

    Have a great weekend all!

I started building this kit earlier this week:

Interestingly its molded in the beige only, so I need to paint the brick/stone work. I'm also working on the interior - not supplied with the kit but slowly coming together from scrap box spare parts. With all those big windows its hard not to do an interior.

And I have also begun working out the buildings for my very selectively compressed version of Exxon North Baton Rouge Polyolefins.

All good stuff! Just before I sat down to this forum, I set a left hand turnout and half of a rail section. Before that, I tore out the old turnout and track and leveled the "turnout excavation". Been making about thirty-six inches of track earlier. All is coming together well. The drop-in turnout is a game changer for me. :D I hope all have fun and stay well. (y)

Well let’s see, lots of projects going on. I am going to have a visit from the NMRA on July 25 so I need to spend my time preparing for that.

    I have to do:

Finish the aircraft hangar (cut out windows last night)
Finish the WP depot (still needs a roof)
Run some wire for sound cards and a structure
    Change out a sound card
    Trouble shoot another structures electronics
    Finish detailing the brewery
Clean up the mess I made Sunday

So I have my work cut out for me. Let’s see what I can get done.

Going to be an oddball weekend with modeling. After finally fixing the coupler pockets on one of the two pickle tank cars I can begin weathering them. I have an IHC 2-8-0 Consolidation off Ebay cheap. I don't think the tender is the one that came with the loco originally as the number is different from the loco. Doesn't matter as I plan to remove the numbers from both and decal them as NYO&W most likely. I picked up some 22 inch radius track that I want to see how it looks. Planning some modifications to the layout.
