Welcome back everyone. I hope everyone had a healthy and safe week. Let's see what the plan is for the weekend.

    Saturday: Just work for me.

Sunday: Not sure what the domestic goddess has planned. I do have a small construction project planned outside but maybe, just maybe, I'll do something model railroad related.

So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 15th to see how we all did. Until then, stay healthy, be safe and as always...

Well - I wasn't very motivated last weekend. I got some stuff accomplished - but....

So, I will get back to work on my SW8 and SW900 projects.

As well as work on my downtown buildings.

    Y'all have a outstanding weekend!!

Happy Friday all. Great weekend coming up. All I know is I will be in the trainroom and/or workshop. One thing I have planned is to repair a Westerfield C&O outside-braced boxcar. Several weeks ago, we had a "Gomez Addams-esque" mishap between 2 trains and the boxcar did a 49" swan-dive to the wood floor. When I dared to look and see how bad, it wasn't bad at all. A wheel had popped out of a truck, no coupler damage, no stirrups damaged. A corner of the roof got cracked, and the weights inside were rattling around. I can spend an hour or 2 with super glue, air-brush, and chalks to fix it up better than new.

What else I do this weekend we'll find out together on Monday. Have a great one.

Well, I just cleaned up the back yard before it got to 80° (supposed to be 110° this afternoon) and I am scouring the interwebs looking for either a warehouse interior or an industrial interior picture for me to print out and put in my new structure. I am also working on the roof while waiting on my replacement VO-1000 and a caboose from Robert Ray, and interurban supplies from France...

Last weekend we were prepping for a tropical storm - this weekend I have to mow as a result of the exponential growth we had after 3 days of rain. Ironically the back wall of the house also needs pressure washed.

Sunday we will have a social distancing picnic outing with my parents - whom we haven't see since February. There will be trains in there somewhere, but I'm keeping my expectations really low.

Well, this past week I got the test turnouts tested. They are basically smooth. One still needs some adjustment. I think I have a solution. I was trying my shifter on the test track intending to use the crossover but I noticed the main frame was loose in the rear. This made the drivers lift off the rails. Not good for traction! So, "Lil Steamy" is back in the shop. Thankfully, I was able to come up with a plan to repair this. This is in progress as I write this. Whilst I was thinking and fanning the resultant smoke out the front door, I made up some track sections. Next, hopefully, I will fab a left hand turnout to install on the module proper. Looks like everybody has good plans for the most part. Listen to your domestic goddesses if you have one. They are smart. Hope all are safe and have fun. (y)

Not sure. I am taking an extra day, for a long deserved three day weekend. Might go railfanning, depending upon what has lately been rather grumpy weather. Or I might try to make some progress on an HOn30 box car kit I set aside a while back. We shall see.....

After the craziness of last weekend I hope to get some stuff done this week. I only have half a weekend though since I need to drive a car to Colorado.

This past Tuesday I made a hill on the module I’m working on. I hope to get it covered with joint compound. Let’s we what happens!

I have 2 packages to ship, one for Big John, and one for Boston Jim, but I am waiting for a USB postal scale I had backordered (due today according to the post office) that connects my computer to the US Post Office, weighs the package, and gives you a list of shipping methods to select from before printing out a paid shipping label. This should save me money over just selecting the generic Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes as I had been using. Goal to ship in Saturday's mail.

Also, I drew up a miscellaneous shed needed for my first TTZ module, finished painting my laser cut Tamiya paints rack and stocked with paints, and started painting the mountains and pines backdrop relief for 4 of my 880mm TTZ Modules. Goal to finish backdrop reliefs and cut parts for the shed.

Saturday I will be working on my son's new 7' x 16' cargo trailer, installing E-Track and shelves. My son got his contractor license and started his own painting company last month J.H. Painting LLC.

I have the two old Atheran pickle tank cars to finish weathering. One car is going to need some work on the coupler pockets. I will temporarily install them but once I can get some supplies I will do a permanent fix. After that I am not sure.

Travelling on business with no days off during this trip so no modeling for me this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing what you all accomplish. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Well it was a bunch of weekends ago, but I thought somebody here might enjoy these. Found them at the Monroe WA train show in February.

Haha! Hi Mark, I'm back in Boise the past 2 years now. The old crowd is still around, the same NMRA guys, all the N Scalers were at the winter train show at the fairgrounds. I stopped making those kits around 2006, after focusing on Z Scale. If there are any broken or missing parts, I can still cut replacement parts, as I always have a free replacement part policy.

Thank you for supporting the parts. Been working on other projects so I haven't started the kits, but I will keep you in mind.

I really enjoy having the variety of events here in western WA, or at least I will when we can restart them. One thing I miss from Boise is running trains downtown during the Christmas season.
