Hi. I hope everybody is OK out there. Does anybody know where to get IBL z scale roadbed, or its equivalent? Seems like they are out of production. Thanks, Jim
No. They only have 1 or 2 0f each and the others are B/O'd. I cleared my cart and then posted this thread. I wonder what's going on there (IBL?)
As I recall, the 3/32" thick sheets available at/through the art supply stores matches up. If you go that way, while you're in the art store try and get a matte knife/cutter. They're basically a hobby knife that can be set to a fixed angle, useful if you want IBL profile.
Thanks, Mark There is a Blick's in town. I will stop in there when they are reopened. I need blades. I will look for a profile mat cutter, too. Jim
In ZoCal we have used https://www.mcmaster.com/94545K39 1"x1/16" self-stick rubberized cork. Since it's rubberized it bends a fair amount without needing to cut reliefs in it. Bevel the edges (the hardest part!), peel the back, and stick it down. I have used Spray77 or Spray90 on the wood to give some extra grab. Once you ballast and scenic it won't be coming up.
Hi, Thanks for your response. I am looking for 2 packages (4pc's) of the double track lengths and 6 packages (12pc's) of the flat yard pieces. The IBL parts are 2002 (dbl. track) and 6002 (cork base 5x7) Any help will be appreciated. If you are able to help please let me know what the cost will be. Thanks, Jim
