Crazy weekend for trains and I don’t mean the model ones. I didn’t get much done. However the Blair line laser kit I have is now painted many colors and ready for assembly later this week.
Dave, sorry to hear about the job. I am sure you will something. I finished the 36 foot wood boxcar and two 36 foot reefers. Those MDC/Roundhouse kits can be a challenge. The northeast caboose is on hold until I get some tools I need inorder to install the ladders. The kit is assembled except for the ladders. I started working on two old Atheran pickle tank cars. The cars are from an estate sale. I decided to change out the plastic wheels for metal. The trucks are metal with springs. Two of the trucks broke, the metal cracked. One car the coupler pockets are a disaster as they are literally crumbling. I will need to add screws to hold the new Kadee couplers. End result is one car is done and ready for weathering. So I thought and then I noticed a missing stirrup. At this point I may just live with it.
