Tom, that Baldwin shell is a V-Line product and was quite good when released years ago. However the MP chassis isn't very good. The shell could be made to fit an Atlas RS-3. I put a V-Line Shark shell on an Atlas-Roco FA-1 and that was my best performer about 35 years ago. - Steve
Condition “new”. Well it looks a bit battered, the glass is missing and the paint looks like thick rattle can enamel which will not remove east for a new paint job. Oh and pizza will be sliced with this one.

Minitrix, or later wasn't this engine model also produced by Model Power? I don't recall what road names each offered. The price is not bad.
It is a Minitrix. http://www.spookshow.net/loco/h1244.html Bachmann did make a FM but a different model.
I'd forgotten, but you are right -- Model Power definitely imported the Minitrix line for a number of years.

A couple of buddies and I once painted an old school bus with a 5-gallon bucket of paint and some brooms. It looked just like that engine.
You can probably get this one fairly cheap. But then there is the cost of paint stripper about $12 a can, paint about $5 dollars a bottle, decals at $5.25 and suddenly it is not cheap.
