But how will you model the pigeons in Z scale? :p :p Just kidding, you're really producing highly-detailed models.

There will be some more houses connected to Faller's cornar apartment house. They are Faller products as well. Due to the constructiont his is time consuming model:

    IMG_4004.jpg

It will be lighted as well:

Very nice work! I like to put lights in everything now, especially since the LED's have gotten to small.

This is practically the first time for me to install lights. I hope it will look good finally. Last Faller apartment house - to make it looking different than any other I painted window frames in different colours.

The nano and pico LED's have certainly made lighting tiny spaces practical. I have a lit pigeon coop and the ticket booth of the Snowden Theater kit is also lit with one. Your hoboes and trash fire are another good example. Basically, the sky is the limit. Who ever thought this would be possible in such a small scale? Jim

Next building on diorama is the warehause of C. Hartwig company - on the left hand side of the photo:

    port5.png

After WWII it looked like this:

    DJBT1dmdOZFOPjzJUHWW_ar16x9.jpg

I could not find any good commercial product to be used but finally by a coincidence discontinued Marklin's 89807 draw my attention: http://ztrainsweekly.com/2017/07/20/new-release-build-kit-marklin-89807-freight-depot/ I bought one second hand - just a building without suplementary items.

This is not perfect match and I decided to do my first carton laser kit kitbashing project. I did not like the colours of original parts. They were impregnated and painted with Tamiya spray paints:

The wood representation is very tiny and you have to be very carefull during assembly. This is not a kit for beginners:

    Tha walls were shortened:

    Basic structure:

    To be continued ...

I follow with apartment houses - the whole set is assemblied together. In the corner building I placed "Lotto shop" of F. Zygarlowski - that was a nephew of my grandgrandfather. He was running cigar and lotto shop which was actually placed pproximetely 1300 meters from the place I am modelling. The whole concept was developed when I found in Internet a photo of Anniversory flyer:

The set of houses with pigeons on the roofs looks quite well in my opinion. There is still one shop to get a name - I search some historical data for this.

I have finished kitbashing project of Marklin 89807 lasercut warehouse. It is supposed to look like this:

My version - adopted with usage of old photos:

    IMG_4140.jpg

Those two companies were using this building in 30-ties:

    IMG_4138.jpg

I added a lamp from Kibri with additional LED installed:

The wall crane was installed on the opposite side:

@John Bartolotto was so kind to send me an old Artitec resin models to create a part of my "river navy". There is a tug and floating platform. Platform was heavily used:

The main landscape of the diorama was made. The grey partwill be a place for warehouses and other buildings. White part - first layer of river bed.
