HA! My latest purchase was some latex rubber for mold making. I have a reversing loop problem that I can't seem to solve, so I've been making rock molds and casting rock outcroppings and boulders for future use as I try to work through the other issue.

A pack of clothespins from the retailer that sells everything for one dollar. (I didn't mention the retailer's name, nor explicitly the price of the purchase, did I?) I use clothespins to clamp together cereal-box cardboard mockups of planned N structures while the glue dries, and cardboard interior light baffles for structures. My old box of clothespin was commandeered for the kitchen because we are trying to stay At home as much as possible and go out less often to the grocery store. Buy larger packages rather than the smaller ones formerly considered as "convenient single-serving" and need to clothespin more things for storage. Hobby stores here closed, and I'm not supposed to get out anyway. But still doing a little cardboard modeling.

I pre-ordered a couple ScaleTrains Rivet Counter SP dash9 locos just to get cold feet a week later so cancelled. Then my buddy sent me a link to the sound card and speaker at discount so ordered up. Had to be satisfied with the Operator version which is fine since it comes out to about $160 each including sound. I still need a layout for some big trains to run on. Currently have some modules for switching action.

A few misc items arrived late last week and successfully made it through quarantine. Now just need to order some motivation.

Now that I have my reversing loop issues resolved, I bought these models to start fleshing out my industrial section of the layout.

The purple and orange delivery people were actually quick this time and they arrived with my new Zephyr. I can’t wait to try it out!

Looking at it it campares quite favorably to any other N scale vehicle I have. It is listed as 1:160 and I believe its right on the money. If you compare it to the MOW trucks and the pack of cars in the picture...its spot on.(y)

The Vulcan factory is a favorite of mine. Never did get that other kit though... I saw it at the 2017 NMRA convention when it was announced. Right now I have way too many buildings... already built and as kits. Probably could recreate the whole Denver industrial & business district.

It really is a beauty... wondering if Kato plans another similar one like Twin Cities Zephyr.

In the last week, I have ordered a NOS Atlas Baldwin VO-1000 in Southern Pacific Tiger Stripes (will become a Pacific Electric loco, 1321), Neolube to weather the running gear on my 2-8-0, and 3D printed Magnetic Flagmen (wig wags)

I've really struggled in my decisions on what industries to put on the layout. I have such limited space for structures...
I was hoping to put industries together that had a certain synergy together, like a saw mill and a paper company... or a refinery and a big, sprawling truck stop... or a stock yard and a meat processing plant, or something like that. But I also wanted different kinds of rolling stock to be in use, so having just wood-pulp cars or just tankers or just stock cars kind of kept me from those kinds of ideas.

With the beverage distributor and the manufacturing plant, I see more opportunity for varied types of rolling stock; box cars for the beverage distributor, but maybe gondolas, box cars, and flat cars to bring in raw materials to the mfg. plant, and box cars and flat cars to receive finished goods. At least, that was the thinking...
