I was doing some surfing today and came across the Bachmann Jackson Sharp cars. Do anyone have any experience with there? What type of application would these be used in? What loco would you use to pull these? Any input would be appreciated.

I their era (1860s to maybe 1890s?) they'd have likely been pulled by 4-4-0s. Being wooden cars, they'd have then transitioned onto branchlines and mixed train service in the early 1900s behind 2-8-0s and similar power. Aging and safety concerns led to their demise, I'm guessing by the late '20s and early '30s. There were exceptions of course. They'd make great tourist road cars in our modern era.

I've never owned any of these.

Streetcars of a similar design were gone by the 1920's

My wife loves them, so they became an excursion train behind a 4-4-0 on my 1950s layout, even though I do not know of any prototype use in that era. Gonna make that 4-4-0 burn wood (when I eventually get around to it).

These cars are/were used on sightseeing trains, not necessarily passenger trains one would use to go from one place to another.

I believe these had a connection to Disney because they are real close...[IMG]
