Apparently CSX has been denying any responsibility for repairing bridges in the city. So 19 feet is the height of a double stack? One picture showed others that made it but one didn't. Maybe it was two taller containers. So who is CSX going to point the finger at? Engineer, Dispatcher, Load Master or whatever you call the guy who stacks the containers?
Ooops!! You would think someone either in dispatching or road forman, or even the engineer on the run, would know about certain height restrictions on they're route.
I think it has something to do with the well cars that the containers ride in-some are lower than others. I've seen stack trains that have "humps" in the train cause of certain cars.
Standard containers are 8.5' tall. Hi-cube containers are 9.5' tall, which means two hi-cube containers stacked would be 2' taller than two standard-height containers stacked. All 53' containers are Hi-Cube height.
The Mountain sub, West of Viaduct Jct is not cleared for auto racks or stacks. The Keystone sub West of Viaduct Jct is cleared for them.
