Looks like a well thought out plan Darth. I like the gate (and if I missed this in the video, sorry) but is there or will there be a latch on it to help make sure the track stays in alignment when you are inside running trains?
Well, to me everything looks great. The straight tracks along the back by the wall might be more interesting if they had a slight inward bend to them so that trains can weave a little bit, but nice and easy long curves there. It's a personal pet peeve of mine that layouts have straight sections always aligned to the front edge of the layout.
Your workmanship is enviable. Everything looks precise and thought out. The elevation upon the swing door is a trick I've never seen. No desire to criticize, as my skills are so much less substantial. I would echo Traingeekboy's observation about having an inward bend to break up the straight edge effect. It is surprising how this little element increases the interest of the train's activity.
