    Hello,

I have one of these locomotives with a decoder in the 8 pin socket. The trouble is the decoder socket seems to be mis-wired. The headlight never turns off, and the motion control has issues too.

Does any one know how to correct this problem?

    Thanks!

Spent half a century learning how to spell, just to have program coders train every typewriter to make me look illiterate.

Thanks for the off switch, ya %#@&s.

The latest Model Railroad Hobbyist, free on their web site, has an article covering all the current DCC plugs & connectors. Each type of plug, colour code also. If you want to trace, blue is the common wire, white wire is the front head light and yellow wire the rear head light. Green & purple Aux1 and 2.

I would unplug the decoder and ring out the pins of the locomotive./
Then rewire the plug to match the loco or switch wires in the loco to match the 8 pin plug.
