We have been following the same procedure here. Also washing hands after bringing the boxes in to the quarantine area.

Does look like a busy weekend for you. I just received an update email that my latest purchase will not ship until April the 7th and that's if they don't extend the lock down. That's OK with me, I'd rather have the employees at ___________ safe at home, than risking infection. They'll get to my order when they get back to work :)

I ordered a dash 9-44 operator locomotive from ScaleTrains Tuesday around noon and received the "your order has been shipped" email about 2 hours later. I checked later that evening and it was already in Chattanooga, TN and I should have it tomorrow!

Received a letter Thursday, from Lowell Smith, starting that
the final car in the American Freedom Train is about ready to
ship! They will ship in the order in which they were received.
Roughly 2 years behind schedule?? Ordered mine Nov 5, 2017!!

Received my Operator BNSF Dash 9 from ScaleTrains and this is a really nice locomotive. The only detail that I was able to install was the snowplow,
the others are just not going to happen, at least for now ( even with the Optisight ). I can say that I have an even greater respect for the people who put together the Rivet Counter products. The quality, both build and running, is great. I plan on running it with my ScaleTrains GEVOs.

My latest acquisition isn't really locos, rolling stock, track or parts. Though I believe still hobby related, as it will produce a heck of a lot of custom polystyrene and wood structures, among other things:

It's a 60 W, 24x16" Laser Cutter/Engraver. Still in the crate, as it didn't come with a stand. I'll have to fabricate something from 2x4s, hopefully over the weekend, to wheel it around.

That's a cool bunch of stuff BNSF FAN. (y) There's so much out there in the N Scale market that I'm not aware of. Some day when I get back to model railroading, I'm so looking forward to buying items like you have.

    I already looked inside!

Luckily, nothing was hiding in there, but the space inside looks big. :D

I hope I get to produce some interesting items, once I get a hang of the process. It's uphill from here, as I have no previous experience with laser cutting machines. Good thing this trains hobby is for life, so plenty of time to learn new skills.

This arrived Thursday and is out of quarantine as of this morning. Hopefully this ultrasonic cleaner will be good for cleaning metal wheelsets, other brass or metal parts for painting. I have another hobby it will help with too. My wife is happy we got it too so she can use it to clean jewelry and other items of hers. Win Win on this purchase I hope.

I just got the light blue and silver double sleeper cascadia's today. In person they look great. on the blue one I am going to match the blue paint to paint the side fairings and leave the bumper gray. and on the silver one remove the side fairings and put steps and 150 gallon tanks.

I'm considering one of these also. Don't know a thing about them. Can it be used to clean plastic loco and rolling stock shells? Can Shapeways type models be cleaned also? Is $30 plus shipping a fair price?

    Thank you for the input.

Hi Dave. About $30 is what this one was so I would say that is a fair price range. I have not tried it on any plastics yet so can't answer that. It has a setting where you can use it with or without heat so I would venture to guess that the without heat setting would be okay on plastic. However, until I find a scrap shell to try it on, I just don't know. If it does work for that, it will be great.

Got my decals for the Montour RR SW9's and cabooses. Thought that I had to custom order them until a friend alerted me to some available. That saved me some cash. Now I only have to get the decals custom made for my school buses that I got from Brian Federhoff at the last Altoona N Scale Weekend show. Speaking of train shows, I guess they are pretty much in doubt for the foreseeable future.
