Maybe George at deLuxe might be interested in doing something like this for all the tofc/cofc die-hards?? Or even n scale of nevada & deLuxe get together for a re-run of the piggy packer??(yes yes it's that obvious,I'am really clutching at straw now!!)
I'd bet it goes up even more in the last couple seconds. </font>[/QUOTE]My observations with N-scale locomotives is that in the first couple days the price (if it starts low) will gradually work up to roughly half of what the item will eventually go for. The serious bids come in during the last 12 hours, with roughly as many bids then as in the previous week. Obviously not all auctions go like this, but it's a common pattern. This piggy-packer, though, is a different kettle of fish because it's an unusual item. It could do anything. But I would be really surprised if it didn't go up in the last twelve hours. BTW, the high bidder at the moment is a hobby shop.
LoL,yes how true Benny, when common sence does kick in after it's all over with,I'am glad I didn't go through with it now.

Guys, in case you missed it, John Coots of NSN has declared that he will likely be releasing another run of these in the near future, but as built-ups, ready-to-run. Now, who knows what price that may fetch but it may well be cheaper than what some might be paying for the kit. And maybe there will be kits as well, that part wasn't exactly clear if I recall. If you prefer the kit, fine, just wanted to give a heads-up in case someone was still thinking these are more rare than they really will be if this comes to pass.
That poor buyer "bryandstowe" has been chasing one for ages now,I even won one against him, poor bloke,I feel sorry for him. I have already emailed him about the one Mike has for sale /trade here on TB & may email him about Dougs news too. Doug thanks for the NSN news,it's too late for me,I now have 3 of them lol.
Thanks Jason! Maybe he has something I can use and we can work out a mutually beneficial trade. Mike C Phoenix Az
The ebay one is 48US$ now. Wonder if it will go as high as the others did? Also, there is another type on ebay that does not seem as popular. Why is that? http://cgi.ebay.com/N-Mi-Jack-Translift-Intermodal-Crane-TL-1000_W0QQitemZ6021024926QQcategoryZ486QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Not sure. Could it be that those types of loaders are more "modern" vs. the Piggy-Packer type of loader that would be more suitable for the late 1970's - 1980's intermodal era? (shrug) Mike C Phoenix Az
