1 somewhat rare BNSF GP60M and one very very rare Dash 8-40BW have a short train in tow delivering it to the McClellan industrial park in North Highland Ca.
This is UP track. I have no idea where this train originates from, but it's on Trackage rights a good long way.

On a grubby 11/19/1998, a former New Haven FL-9 rests at Danbury, CT. These locomotives were both diesel and third rail capable. The Connecticut Department of Transportation had ten units restored to NYNH&H livery upon their rebuilding, with the 2006 re-entering service in '85. The FL-9s left the roster in 2009. Note the original Hancock Air Whistle still in place.

    "Soo Caboose"
In my final railroad photo of the decade, we see a once proud red and white caboose. Downgraded from freight service to become a shoving platform, a Soo caboose rests in the Minot CP yard.
