Hi All. I was recently enjoying a session on some Chicago area modules, and have a MP15 in BRC livery and a caboose. My friends welcomed my little switcher handling yard duties, so I thought i'd find some other BRC locos. I believe there's others, but don't see them for sale. Anyone know what's been done in the past?

Atlas has done a GP-7, GP38-2 and VO-1000 for the BRC

Just FYI in case you didn’t already know..
The Kato “shorty” caboose was tooled from my original scale drawings based on field measurements of the short BRC Transfer caboose. Kato decided to do the cupola version (close to Cambria & Indiana) in foobie roadnames. Predictably poor sales nixed the transfer version which might have sold better. Even the bay window might have been a better choice.
    Kitbash for an accurate BRC!!

I think Atlas did a GE U-something for BRC also.

I did wonder... I know they operate a number of GP/SD and 1500 series EMD locos, and once had ALCO C424s. I have got an ATLAS VO-1000, but believe those were gone by the mid 1960's.

Midwest Video Productions (Now Part of Pentrex) did a very nice DVD called "Motive Power on the Belt Railway of Chicago". For fans of the BRC this video shows all the diesel locomotives the Belt owned in the 90's, from the GP7's & GP9's to the SW9's, SW1200's, SW1500's and MP15's to the newest GP38-2's. Other locomotives seen in the video are the ALCO C424's and ALCO S6.

Disclaimer, I am in no way associated with the Belt Railway of Chicago, Midwest Video Productions, Highball Productions or Pentrex, just a happy customer and owner of this DVD along with "Inside the Belt Railway of Chicago" and "A Day with Belt Railway of Chicago #525" (y)

The Kato shorty caboose with the copula removed makes a great BRC caboose. Bought one already modified and painted. I do not know who did the work, bought at train show. If do find an old Life Like C-424 has the earlier housing at rear. BRC's were the later version.
