Looks that way. I don't think it was because of the rain. The other locos were still filthy!

Or a good wetting with rain water will temporarily do wonders for the look of a paint job.

Yes. It does look like an SD60M.

I guess too that it it's a SD60M. 2nd unit is a B40-8W, that amazes me as I thought BNSF parted of all these.

Trying to recall where I read this, a few months or so back? They had kept something like sixty of those B40's for rebuilding by GE.

Still see a lot of old BN cars thru Minot, but this one was one of the nicest I have seen in a while.

Look close and see if you can find the build date on it, I've seen a few from the early 70's!

I've noticed that there's a LOT of BN covered hoppers around. I see several in Oakland every day, but can't take a photo because I'm driving.

    "Ross Local East"
The Ross Local splits the intermediate signals at MP 2.9, BNSF Glasgow Sub.

I see a lot of BN covered hoppers in Oakland. Even saw an unpatched Santa Fe covered hopper today in the same yard.

You may find Cascade Green in the Northwest, true, but you may find some in the Southeast as well !

... What puzzles me is reporting marks still BN, nearly 25 years after the merger...

This is expected on freight cars. They will run with original marking until they are shopped and repainted.
