@HemiAdda2d Thank you for a new expresssion. I didn't know 'blue hour' From Wikipedia "The blue hour (from French l'heure bleue;[1][a] pronounced [lœʁ blø]) is the period of twilight (in the morning or evening, around the nautical stage) when the Sun is at a significant depth below the horizon and residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue shade, which differs from the one visible during most of a clear day, which is caused by Rayleigh scattering." There is more if you are interested in the technical aspects of it: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_hour

Don't like to see this kind of stuff when I'm having a visit on a railroad. Mostly means that my railfanning day (or half-day) will be messed up... Dom
It's 1995, you're 600 Miles from home and you're overlooking the CR (PRR) main at Thompsontown, PA. The light is good, film is advanced, finger is atop the shutter button, the train is at the perfect spot and GLINT >click<! Preserved forevermore on Kodachrome is this image. What are the odds? Now almost 25 years and a merger later, I've not been able to return here.
Dom, You got that right. This just in.... "Rollin' Coal" A fast-moving hopper train splits the signals at west Soo Tower. The trailing unit thinks it's an Alco!
Hardly befitting Conrail's modern image, the railroad thought it best to identify its ancient former PRR Freight Station in Mt. Union, PA. The station stands on the PRR's original mainline through the town, long since downgraded after a line relocation left it as a spur to serve local industry. Amazingly, the structure stands today, restored and expanded, but no longer railroad owned. Mt. Union was also the northern terminus of the narrow gauge East Broad Top Railroad. [Kodachrome 04/03/1989] Also found on the same day was the EBT's Mt. Union engine house. It too still stands and has been fixed up, though I don't know anything about it.
