Hi N Scalers, Can anyone tell me if there is a modern, DCC ready mech, Kato or Atlas, that an older Kato U30C shell would fit on without mods - at least not extensive ones? Even if you believe there is not, it helps knowing that too. Thanks in advance for your help. Lowell.

Have you found a body only or a complete older U30C? I've bought 3 older DC Kato UP U30C's in the $35 to $50 range that I'm going to convert to DCC pretty much using this method... http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/grela/katou30c.html Maybe do one of those as my next decoder install and I'd post how I ended up doing it.
