Another website that can't be viewed when using an ad blocker, but when viewed without it will cause my browser to crash/freeze because of the glut of ads they're trying to run - well over 100 by the count of AdBlock.

Hey Rod ( you're into model rr'ing so of course you visit us, right? RIGHT??? (y) ) I invite you to contribute to our Sunday photo fun threads to inspire us who are picking up our jaws at your layout's awesomeness. Heck, PM me a couple of your favorite scenes and I'll post them for you!! :D My favorite part of the referenced article is booking an extra hotel room while on the road so there's a separate quiet space to zen out and do some modelling. It's kind of mind blowing to think that a layout of that magnitude was accomplished while managing what must be a crazy travel schedule. When it comes to accomplishing goals, obviously Mr Stewart makes no excuses. Really incredible work...

    Cheers -Mike

Back in the 90s, I frequented a model train shop in Bellair, Texas. On one of my visits, Rod was in the shop behind the counter talking with one of the clerks who was and still is a professional Rock drummer. Marty also worked for Digitrax for a while but is now in the band Worhol. He also was a founding member of the band Oz Knozz back in the 70s.

To me, he is a better modeler than a singer....

He makes interesting use of selective compression. The tallest buildings are twenty-something stories, but look closer to 40 because they're so skinny.

    Works.

Apparently over on British Radio they were discussing this on air and one of the gentleman just couldn't believe that he built this all himself and Rod's wife overheard it on the radio in her car, called him, and he called the radio station to set things straight!!

He admitted it was not all him, that "I'm a terrible electrician, so I had a friend do that! The rest was me!"

    Moving his "train set".

The media is so good at technically being factually correct, while giving you no earthly idea what's really involved in doing what's being done.
