Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get an AZL loco to couple with Marklin rolling stock? I see there is a transition car available that has MTL knuckle couplers on one end and Marklin on the other. Can the AZL couplers successfully mate with the MTL coupler on this transition car?
AZL couplers mate with MTL couplers without the least trouble. AZL designed its coupler in order to match with MTL's (without, of course, its magnetic uncoupling feature). So no matter of what is on the other side of your transition car, as long as it has a MTL coupler to be coupled with your AZL loco on its "good" side. Dom
All Z scale knuckle couplers are compatible. But only MTL can be uncoupled with a magnet under the track. Also MTL couplers can be delayed uncoupled, so you can spot cars while switching. /Frank Verstuurd vanaf mijn ANE-LX1 met Tapatalk

Thank you! Yes I read before that AZL's were compatible with MTL's but didn't know to what extent. thanks for the confirmation guys.
MTL has 'drop in' replacements for Märklin. These fit into the märklin coupler pocket. Another option is to use the MTL body mount coupler. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ANE-LX1 met Tapatalk
