https://www.ebay.com/itm/ATLAS-N-Ga...sh=item4203454515:g:SJkAAOSw9M9dC6XZ#viTabs_0 Here is a vintage box for sale lol I just don't get it
Maybe he thinks the original owner used the original contents but left the "factory air" in the box? Not a good bet, looking at the condition of that box in the pictures.

So...essentially it is an F3 chassis priced at almost the retail price of the complete F3 with a shell. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Yeah, this one bugs me to no end. 1) There is no way to verify the claim unless the product actually is still sealed. 2) It’s often used to garner a higher price for what is clearly “used” when it arrives. 3) Sure, a product may never have been handled or run (doubtful in most cases), but that doesn’t mean parts, seals, tires, etc haven’t deteriorated over the years. It’s inexcusable to label something “New, Old Stock” that has deteriorated or is unusable until repairs are made. I’ve been burned by this one and simply don’t trust it when I see it. A product is either New (Unused) or Used. Anything else is weasel words used to either cloud the truth, or outright deceive.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FLUKE-101-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 New...I think not...box was beaten up each corner to the point where the ink is worn off... One of the test leads won't fit tight..it jiggles I think it's a return...other than that it works ok Fluke sticker on box says "warranty invalid unless device used in country it was purchased (Korea)
I'm confused. So you bought one and that's how it came as I don't see any box pictures in the auction, etc.
The auction fine print said new... The box wasn't new...it was had been around block..many times I didn't care about the box really...the loose lead is the issue.. Beaten up box + loose test lead = manufacturers return ...I'm just guessing... = cheap price/free shipping The meter works ok (if u wedge a piece of wood into the lead socket to keep the lead from falling out) and tests fine... So I can live with it
Calzephyr, what you said about the Fluke is very funny!!! Thank you for posting, you made my day. Joe
I see. I would have raised a stink and maybe get some money back, if not a replacement. PayPal would have easily taken your side. Obviously not new. It's a shame as Fluke meters are really good tools. And for those who don't know about Fluke multimeters, they are one of the best in the market and their prices speak for themselves. Super high quality.
As for the empty box: Lionel (and other collectible TOYS) are much more valuable if they are still in an original box. I'm sure that this is just someone thinking with that mentality that an old box has value. It's similar to people using TTOS 'ratings' on old N scale. There really is NO old, vintage, rare, antique, N scale that is worth more than a couple bucks (if that), but some people just don't know or understand. Still, $12 for an empty box...I don't care who you are, that's just funny!
Ah yes, a half-stripped Minitrix L&N body shell has somehow morphed into one in Erie Lackawanna livery. At least the price is fair. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tr...137821?hash=item4d9e3ad61d:g:sdkAAOSwUvhdqkLK
Do want a DDC system? Not sure it works but for $55.00 what can go wrong??? https://www.ebay.com/itm/DDC-and-ot...372044?hash=item3d9639bf8c:g:D1YAAOSwOxJdlYi3
