Good morning, good evening, where ever you may be. It’s time once again to gather our thoughts and share what we have planned for the weekend.

Saturday: Jared has a college game of soccer in his home stadium so, while in state, it will take up the majority of the day. It’s always fun to watch him play on the college level and visiting with him after the game is something I always look forward to. We’ll try to get all the domestic chores done this day as well so I have a full day on Sunday to work on the layout.

Sunday: I plan to work on the B&M layout. After a mini revelation, I’ve redesigned certain aspects of the overall design which will allow me to not only display it at shows, but have it present better. During my half days of work, I was able to construct the beginning of this project which doesn’t effect the layout at all. Hopefully I’ll post more when I have a chance.

One program note: my last day with my employer of the last four years is today and unofficially ends my career of 20 plus years in the hobby industry. As of Monday, I’ll be starting a completely new career path that I hope I will enjoy as much or more then my time within the hobby industry. My new career will be effecting my weekends as I will now be working Saturdays. I’ll keep posting the WMP and WMA threads unless I become extremely busy with my new job. If that happens, there maybe an open spot for this position! Until then, I’ll keep the threads going.

With that said, tell us what you have planned for the weekend. We’ll assemble again on Monday the 21st to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Had plans but they were changed. On top of the NMRA meeting this week I now have to replace a starter in the car. I hope to work on the depot some more as well.

Good luck on the new job Jim! Hope it goes great for you.

Saturday is another trip to TN to work on the sorting out stuff.

Sunday will hopefully be some layout time. Hope to work on a little scenery and structure placement. We shall see how it goes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I've been distracted from layout progress by a DCC system and DCC locomotives given to me by a friend. I've no experience whatsoever with DCC and the learning process has been a blast, sound effects and all. This old skool DC guy is amazed. I've seen DCC at shows of course, but have never had the fun of messing with it myself. Even programmed CVs for the first time. Fortunately my new layout's wiring has been designed from the start to accept both DC and DCC input.

So yeah, I've been sidetracked by DCC. :)

Working on ballasting for the first time. 1st attempt did not go well with fine ballast. I am trying to re-do it with medium. Not happy with the dust that gathers on the RR ties using WS ballast.
