    Hi,

I am building an outdoor G-scale dead rail layout. Using primarily MTH locos, BigBoy and Daylight.
Have built a set of boxcars with MTH TIU an WIU + batteries. Works well with MTH iPad app.
Have written an OpenLCB gateway for JMRI to control various pieces of hardware I have designed. Works well.

Next step is to control the locos. I want to start by using DCC++ with JMRI. I will place an Arduino Mega + motorshield + Wifi hat
and batteries in a boxcar, as I did with the MTH controllers.

    For info on everything see:

    In particular see:

I have questions about using a high power motor shield and converting the code for use on a SAMD51 mcu.
Should I start by creating a new topic for each of these?

Hi Steve, welcome. Have no idea of what you are talking about, but glad to have you on board. (I'm a DC dinosaur in N-Scale.)

Welcome aboard, Steve. Big scale is good, as in G.
