Here's hoping I get good tips from joining Trainboard. I have just returned to my Z scale layout
after a long period away from it where my time has been taken up by building a new house and learning
German in order to better keep up with things Z. Am using German rolling stock as none is available
commercially for British trains, but the layout is based on the track in west Edinburgh in the post war era.
Am trying to finish it in order to exhibit at the Z Freunde International event at Altenbeken next year.

Hi Downfielddev, Welcome. Happy to have you on board. Glad that you have the stamina to learn German to advance your Z-Scale creation. I couldn't get past English, so modeled New England rails.

Welcome. I have been forced to relearn my German (I used to be fairly fluent but forgot a lot of vocabulary) so I can order parts for Arnold Rapido N scale trains from over there.

Hank, I didn't know they spoke English in New England. :D

That wouldn't be Downfield, Dundee by any chance? Can't quite see it from here, I'm on the other side of the Tay.
I think you'll find they're quite a good bunch on here :giggle:
