Good morning, good evening, wherever you may be. It is time once again to gather around and discus what we have planned for the weekend.

Saturday: With the weather forecast looking positive, I may just work on all the domestic chores and lawn work that needs to be done. I need to get the garage situated so I can start building FreeMo modules next weekend.

Sunday: Unlike Saturday, this day is scheduled to rain. I hope to get the new track I installed on the B&M layout last weekend, painted and finish up the wiring. If I get a chance on Saturday to go to my not so local hobby shop and pick up a servo turnout control, I'll install that as well. Once everything is buttoned up on that module, it will get put back and I'll test run it.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 9th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

We’re finally moving into this dwelling over the basement we bought a couple months ago.

For some reason, the wife wanted the rooms painted and the kitchen remodeled. I didn’t understand, as I bought a basement, not caring too much one way or the other about the overhead structure. But she cooks well and the kids call her mommy, so I better make sure I keep her around.

I should be getting started in the next few weeks on finishing the basement garage area into a recreation room for the kids (as well as holding the layout staging yard).

Hope to finish painting my control panel frames, insert the black panels with their toggle switches and perhaps even begin wiring within the control panel. Our minor brush with Hurricane Dorian left the yard quite the mess, so I'll first need to do some yard work. It's 90 Deg. w/ 60% humidity out there. Ugh.

Got mine done on Thursday. Picked up a Rapido RDC new for $125 and got to try it out at the Livingston Model Railroad Club.

Put it on the programming track to adjust the volume and other settings and then put it on the rails Next put it in the yard to figure out the different controls and light settings. (I am a DCC dummy by the way) Then pulled into the station in the East Subdivision.

Left the station and headed upgrade letting the passengers see the bears the cub on the pole.

A local freight took the passing siding at the summit to allow the RDC to pass.

The next stop was in Gardiner, MT.

The RDC then pulled into a passing siding to wait for its departure time and the local freight passed.

After loading passengers, the RDC departed Gardiner and passed the Devils Slide heading north along the Yellowstone River.

Sure is a nice running unit. No trains this weekend with too many non train activities on the menu.

    I’m not
Going to get much done this weekend. I’ve caught a cold and it’s wiping me across the rails. I wanted to start building aircraft hangars but my bubblehead says no.
