Here is a nother pic of my layout I took today and on the other side of the backdrops in the second pic is a farm scene but the building I have not put back on the layout yet I use them for a module that I take to shows also
Train room (unfinished basement) being finished by wife and I. How it looked early Dec 2018 except outlets had been added to walls all around the basment. Feb 2018 July 2018. Suspended ceiling in and ceiling tiles cut and ready. Working on basement bathroom presently, shower is tiled and grouted by my wife. She'll finish tiling the floor this weekend. Probably start the main basement floor later in Sept and when that is done, can start working on layout. Basic track plan for area with blue walls..
Basement bathroom is moving along. Excavating the cement around the 2-inc PVC shower drain rough-in pipe was a chore. I did the drywall, cement board, curb and shower tray with rubber liner. Wife is the tiler - once finished can move to the basement floor. A couple weeks ago. Now.
No where near as nice as many shown here but it's my space and I'm happy with it so far. Shots from the 4 corners.
LOL, not as much as you might think. I maybe drink just enough that I am probably putting some Colombian plantation owners kid through college. Thank you Joe. I try and keep the room neat but after I posted the pictures, I noticed that it wasn't as organized as it should be.
Looks like it has been a while since my last train room update. Well. It's basically finished! To start off with, my wife did a great job tiling the basement bathroom shower and floor by end of summer. With that done we finished installing the tiles on the ceiling and installed 16 4k temp dimmable flat panel LED lights: The floor was started mid October and finished it first week of November. We worked on installing baseboard during the rest of November and last weekend layout bench-work started going up. I saved bench work from the previous layout so two 8 foot sections just needed to be put on legs. A third 8 foot section was built on Monday and added on. Here is where those two old benchwork sections drop into the scale drawing: Last Monday Dec 9:
Mine is in the living room and bench work is still in progress. I hope to have pics by Dec 21st., 2020
