I think I have seen in some earlier photos that you at least have friction bearing trucks drawn up. If those were available the SW9 would be covered. And a shell with one less stack would cover the SW8/SW900s. Any thoughts on making these available?
That design was my first attempt at making a truck for the shorty. I had forgotten about it until now. I'll make it available as soon as I can. Thanks for asking. Here they are on my very first brass model. It seems so long ago...
Always Outstanding work! the silver around the window set it off! nice look! The truck look great too!
I have found an error in the "Southern Pacific" version of the SW1200 shell. There is a piece of metal that prevents the shell from sitting all the way down onto the chassis. It can be ripped off with pliers or the frame can be trimmed to make room for it. It has been removed from the 3D model and will not show up in any future prints. Sorry if anyone had trouble with that.
I got the chassis all put together and running. I just need to paint some parts of the chassis black. I have been working on the shell. I came up with a decal sheet to do most of the work. I have some little touch ups to do, paint the stacks silver, add spark arrestors, and then it should be ready to go. I’m happy with the outcome. This kit is really well designed. Thank you for making these available.
That’s terrific, love them all but the CN scheme is really bold! How are most of you obtaining graphics for these bodies? Are they waterslide decals? I found out about one shop that will do a waterslide decal sheet for $20. But I’m still researching.
