Hi, All Does anyone know what is happening with the manufacturer's of metal wheels? Both manufacturer's are out of stock. I'm hoping to finish up some Marklin tank car conversions. Thanks, Jim
Jim, The FT wheels are reported as arriving soon on Monster Z. Fox Valley on the other hand may have experienced the flooding of the Fox River and perhaps focused matters other than model railroading. I realize it may be a bit of a pain, but it looks like both FT and AZL trucks are available. Mark
That’s funny, I just posted recently about poor running MTL well cars (traced to stiff bogeys, easily fixed) but also realized they had plastic wheels which I would like to replace. So today I searched in vain for metal replacements... yes, short supply. It’s a Z thing.
At Altoona Show this past weekend I was advised by Fox Valley that N should be soon and Z should be later this winter.
In an email I received from Matt (FVM), June of 2018, he advised me at that time I should be watching for N sets in Sept/Oct (2018). Now nearly a year later...?
Thanks for the replies. I'm not feeling too reassured. ZSM did have some 12 packs in stock at last look. These may be the last of them until they are re-stocked. I will stock up on them once they are available. Thanks, Jim
