Ran trains for Fathers day. This thing runs ok at higher speeds. The pickup issue is problematic in the tender and the sound chip has no inherent memory which is also very bothersome. I see new parts in it's distant future.
Didn't get anything N scale in the last few weeks, but did get a few other things. A neat book, This period correct for my railroad book should make for some interesting reading, This buckle brought back memories as we saw her in Boise, ID in 1989 for the states Centennial! A really old and very cool book,
Was checking on the status of my new property yesterday, and was in time to get distracted by a train going by. Moving the Trainshed over here is in the future sooner than later. Yay!
The dining room has this view! And am putting in a window on the wall of the Living room facing this way! Might be a bit distracting......
Made time this morning to run a few trains! It has been a while, so I had to run cabeese with wet dust monkeys in front of them! Here's some video proof,
Well, the process of trying to keep work going, remodel this house and prep the Trainshed to move has been making me crazy. So I took the weekend last and went to Fargo for a trainshow, a really nice one! There wasn't a lot of N stuff, but what was there went for good prices! It was nice to get away and get somewhat rested up! I scored a few things while there, only two of which don't fit my era or layout, but......they were still NIB and at such a cheap price! A GN Empire Builder set by Kato. First thing at that table was this, And this IM 8000 gal tank, which are getting harder to find. And the aforementioned set which just had to find it's way to my boxes! And a very nice copy of Highliners and an NP blue lantern, hard to find for a good price! All in all, it was a fruitful weekend of fun and trains!
Figured a quick update was in order for y'all. Here sits the NPBH, forlorn and half packed. It still sits where it was in May, but I have made time to pack up some of the cars and loco's. More to do, for certain. A couple of steamers, idly waiting among the boxes of packed up cars, and those awaiting packing up. There is progress tho', I have been busily working away on remodeling the Living room of the house. The 1890's era passenger car theme is coming along nicely, This is an overview of the one wall that is close to done, two more to go.
OK...what I miss ? Without surfing back thru posts.....why you packing up NPBH ??? Damn...I hate getting old and either forgetting what I read or just not reading what I should...
Got divorced, found a new house by the service tracks, got to relocate the trainshed, but getting the house liveable comes first.
That would be correct. He and goofy split up. So now he has to haul the trailer house to his new home. Trying to get him to set it up with cameras when he moves. You know. An earthquake of sorts. Lol Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
